Joel has led hundreds of M&A assignments focused on payments around the world. His financial sponsor clients are among the world’s most successful investors in fintech. He has also led hundreds of strategy development assignments across sectors within fintech including projects for technology platforms, merchant service providers, processors and schemes, financial institutions, and merchants across verticals. Joel’s strategy work focuses on growth and includes a track record of tangible results. 

Joel is well regarded for his uniquely global vision on payments and fintech and for tailoring this vision to create value for his clients. He is a frequent speaker and author on embedded finance, digital commerce, payments innovation, and fintech M&A. Joel received an MBA with distinction from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business (USA) and graduated magna cum laude from Emory University (USA) with a BA in economics.
